Based on the nature of simplicity, my work intends to use the urban landscape and make it react to the presence of banal objects and things we are so used to see, that no longer attract our attention. "Chewed gum" will be temporarily placed on different urban locations. The URM I am proposing is an object, an action and an event at the same time. Based in a found piece of chewed gum, I have made a large scale chewed piece of gum which I´ve been placing in different locations of the urban landscape, in an intend to materialize some reflections about the nature of simplicity. The scale of the piece, as well as the nature of the context are of much help for the purpose. I am planning to take it to some other places around the city and finally leave it in a specific spot and then declare it an URM. The way the piece reacts to the environment is different each time, depending on the place it is located. The people reacts to this event and to the presence of the piece, and the urban landscape is transformed by the presence of this huge chewed piece of gum.
